Child goes missing after falling into swollen rivulet, man found dead

BALEWA, Oct 24: A child has gone missing when he accidentally fell into the swollen Bhujikhola in Bobang of Dhorpatan Municipality-7 in Baglung district. 


Jeevan BK, a five-year-old son of Dil Bahadur of Dhorpatan-7 Dharabot, has gone missing when he accidentally fell into the rivulet while playing with his friends on Saturday evening, according to locals.

BK, who is studying at Namuna Bal Bikas Dharkot, reached the river while playing with friends in the afternoon. A five-member team has been deployed from Burtibang Baglung police post to search for the missing child, said Deputy Superintendent of Police Iqbal Hawari.


According to the Area Police Office in Dhorpatan, they reached the makeshift bridge, which was built temporarily as an alternative to the nearby bridge.


Meanwhile, a person has been found dead in Jaimini Municipality. Dalbir Sarki, 45, of Sisneri was found dead on the bank of Jaimini-2 Theulekhola.
