China's Sichuan Airlines offers Chhengdu-Pokhara chartered flights to PRIA

KATHMANDU, June 3: After six months of operation, Pokhara Regional International Airport (PRIA) will have its first international flight. According to the Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal (CAAN), China's Sichuan Airlines has offered two charter flights to Chengdu-Pokhara.

KATHMANDU, June 3: After six months of operation, Pokhara Regional International Airport (PRIA) will have its first international flight. According to the Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal (CAAN), China's Sichuan Airlines has offered two charter flights to Chengdu-Pokhara.


According to head of PRIA Bikram Gautam, there will be two charter flights on June 21. “The company has offered two charter flights through narrowbody aircrafts. Further details are yet to come," said Gautam.

Society International is the official ticketing company of Sichuan Airlines for Nepal. Airline companies such as Buddha, Yeti, Sri, Saurya and others have been flying regularly at this airport, which came into operation on January 1.


According to the CAAN, airline companies such as Himalaya Airlines, Jazeera Airways, Sichuan Airlines and others have been conducting a feasibility study for regular flights from this airport. Buddha Air has already started the process for regular flights from this airport to various cities in India.
