KATHMANDU, Nov 16: Chinese Communist Party has provided assistance to victims affected by the Jajarkot earthquake.This is in addition to the assistance provided by the Chinese government.
The international department of the party's central committee has provided relief materials worth Rs. 27.5 million to the Nepali political party on Wednesday evening.
CPC provides relief materials to quake-hit people
The Deputy Head of Mission of the Chinese Embassy here, Wang Xin, jointly handed over the materials to Nepali Congress (NC) leader Ram Hari Khatiwada, CPN-UML Foreign Department Head Dr. Rajan Bhattarai, CPN (Maoist Center) General Secretary and CPN (Unified Socialist) leader Jeevan Ram Shrestha.
Dr. Bhattarai said that the Chinese embassy has said that the materials will be delivered to the doorsteps of the earthquake victims. Giving information that they have suggested to distribute relief materials with the help and coordination of local political parties and representatives, he said that after Chhath, the materials will be handed over to the earthquake victims through a one-door system.
