Chinese national found dead in Bharatpur’s Barsana hotel

CHITWAN, June 30: A Chinese national who had come to receive treatment at BP Koirala Memorial Cancer Hospital in Bharatpur, was found dead in a hotel room.

CHITWAN, June 30: A Chinese national who had come to receive treatment at BP Koirala Memorial Cancer Hospital in Bharatpur, was found dead in a hotel room.


According to the Chitwan police, a Chinese national aged 56 was found dead in the bathroom of Barsana Hotel, located opposite BP Koirala hospital, at around 8:55 AM on Sunday.

Bijaya Raj Pandit, spokesperson for the District Police Office, Chitwan, said that he had come to the hospital for treatment and had been staying at this hotel since June 24.


Currently, police are conducting a preliminary investigation into the incident. Pandit said that, as the deceased is a foreign citizen, they have consulted with the Chinese embassy in Kathmandu. The police have ruled out the possibility of a murder.
