KATHMANDU, Aug 3: The number of cholera-infected persons across the country has reached 25.
According to the latest bulletin released by the Epidemiology and Disease Control Division (EDCD) under the Department of Health Services, the number of infected has reached 25 across the country.
Number of cholera cases in Lalitpur reaches 26
The infection has been confirmed among two more people in the last 24 hours, taking the total cholera cases to 25.
So far, 16 cases of cholera have been detected in Lalitpur's Godawari Municipality, eight in Kathmandu's Tokha Municipality and one in Kailali's Dhangadhi Sub-Metropolitan Municipality, according to EDCD.
Cholera is a highly contagious diarrheal disease caused by vibrio cholerae. Health experts have suggested paying attention to cleanliness and drinking only boiled water to avoid water-borne diseases such as cholera.
