CIAA files graft case against pilot Shah

KATHMANDU, Jan 5: The Commission for Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) has sued Nepal Airlines' pilot Samrat Bahadur Shah, alleging fake educational credentials he produced for the purpose of promotion.

KATHMANDU, Jan 5: The Commission for Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) has sued Nepal Airlines' pilot Samrat Bahadur Shah, alleging fake educational credentials he produced for the purpose of promotion.


The anti-graft body filed a charge sheet against Pilot Shah at Special Court, Kathmandu alleging that he had presented fake certificates of educational qualification for the purpose of getting promoted to the eighth level captain from junior captain, according to Spokesperson at CIAA Namahari Ghimire.

CIAA had found his educational credentials phony after investigation.


Spokesperson further said pilot Shah had presented phony certificates showing that he had completed intermediate level in first division from VSJ Inter College of Gorakhpur, Uttar Pradesh, India.
