CIAA receives more complaints from local levels in Nepalgunj

NEPALGUNJ, Dec 12: The Nepalgunj-based office of the Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) has registered more complaints related to corruption from the local levels.

NEPALGUNJ, Dec 12: The Nepalgunj-based office of the Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) has registered more complaints related to corruption from the local levels.


Chief of the Office Bijay Raj Poudel said that most of the complaints from among the sectoral offices have been received from the local levels in the Nepalgunj-based liaison office of the CIAA that oversees cases related to corruption in Banke, Bardiya, Dang and Rolpa districts.

According to Poudel, a total of 67 complaints have been registered in the office during the first four months of the current fiscal year. 


Likewise, the Office has lodged 163 complaints till the first four months of the current fiscal year since the beginning of 2078/079 BS fiscal year.


So far, 33 cases have been cleared and 130 others are being investigated.


The other sectors receiving more complaints at the CIAA include education (56), industry, tourism, forest and environment (30), land management, cooperative and poverty alleviation (24) and physical infrastructure development (17).
