CIAA urges medical authorities to follow rules

KATHMANDU, Dec 21: The Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) drew the attention of medical authorities to maintain rules regarding admission of MBBS/BDS programs.

KATHMANDU, Dec 21: The Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) drew the attention of medical authorities to maintain rules regarding admission of MBBS/BDS programs.



A meeting held at the CIAA on Tuesday discussed on the news reports published by different media about entrance exams of MBBS/BDS, admission and tuition fees. The meeting drew attention of the medical authorities to simplify and facilitate admission process, not to charge fees more than the fixed amount, follow the laws and rules, maintain transparency, assimilate with international institutions, make effective monitoring system and formulate necessary laws, according to the CIAA.



Representatives from the Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Health, Nepal Medical Council, Kathmandu University, Tribhuvan University's Institute of Medicine and commissioners from the CIAA participated in the discussion.
