CIB nabs education consultancy operator for fraud

KATHMANDU, Nov 23: The Central Investigation Bureau (CIB) of Nepal Police on Friday arrested 37-year-old woman on the charge of defrauding people of over Rs 10 million by promising them jobs in Canada.

KATHMANDU, Nov 23: The Central Investigation Bureau (CIB) of Nepal Police on Friday arrested 37-year-old woman on the charge of defrauding people of over Rs 10 million by promising them jobs in Canada.


Acting on complaints lodged by the victims, CIB rounded up Sunita Tiwari Waiba, operator of Webster Education Networks Inc. Pvt. Ltd.,  from Putalisadak today.

"Sunita Tiwari Waiba, who originally hails from Bakaiya Rural Municipality-9, Makawanpur, currently staying at Naikapl, Kathmandu, has been arrested on the charge of defrauding Canadian jobs aspirants of Rs 700,000 to 1.2 million," CIB said in a press release issued today.


Waiba has been handed over to Kathmandu District Court after arrest. She will be charged under human trafficking.
