CIT providing 30 percent bonus shares to its shareholders

KATHMANDU, August 22: Citizen Investment Trust (CIT) is providing 30 percent bonus shares and 1.5789 percent cash dividend to its shareholders. The 27th Annual General Meeting of the CIT held on Monday endorsed the proposed offerings.

KATHMANDU, August 22: Citizen Investment Trust (CIT) is providing 30 percent bonus shares and 1.5789 percent cash dividend to its shareholders. The 27th Annual General Meeting of the CIT held on Monday endorsed the proposed offerings.


Speaking at a program, CIT Chairman Surya Bahadur Thapa said they will focus on incorporating the workers from informal sectors in a savings program run by the Trust. He added that the CIT has adopted the policy of diversifying its investment portfolio.

As of mid-July of the fiscal year 2021/22, CIT maintained a net fund reserve of Rs 217.32 billion. Similarly, it invested Rs 194.92 billion over the period.


CIT has been working to expand its business in self-employed workers and those in foreign employment. It has installed upgraded software to effectively run its programs.
