'Civil Servant Adjustment Ordinance' presented in NA

KATHMANDU, Dec 26: The 'Civil Servant Adjustment Ordinance-2075' has been presented in today's meeting of the National Assembly. Minister for Federal Affairs and General Administration, Lalbabu Pandit, presented the Ordinance in the meeting.

KATHMANDU, Dec 26: The 'Civil Servant Adjustment Ordinance-2075' has been presented in today's meeting of the National Assembly. Minister for Federal Affairs and General Administration, Lalbabu Pandit, presented the Ordinance in the meeting. 


The Ordinance was issued on December 9 for the adjustment of employees in federation, provinces and local-level at a time when the Parliament was not in session. The meeting also passed the condolence motion over the demise of former lawmakers- Chakra Prasad Banstola, Padma Ratna Tuladhar and Motidevi Tharu.

Banstola elected to the House of Representatives from Nepali Congress in 2051 BS and 2056 BS died on October 13 at the age of 72. Similarly, Tuladhar elected to the House of Representatives from the then CPN (UML) in 2048 BD and 2051 BS died on November 4 at the age of 73. 


Tharu, the member of Interim Legislature-Parliament from the then CPN (Maoist) in 2063 BS, died on November 26 at the age of 45. 


In the beginning of the meeting, Chairperson Ganesh Prasad Timilsina, read out a letter regarding the commencement of the session. The NA will meet next at December 28.
