The provision introduced by the erstwhile government for employees unwilling to join the employee adjustment process (at three levels) was suspended by the incumbent government, terming it expensive and not the demand of the situation.

"It will be problem to send back those employees applying for retirement to office," he said, adding that they should be granted retirement through a due process.

A total of 9,671 employees including four secretaries have applied for voluntary retirement.

He went on to say that sentiments of employees should be addressed while implementing the adjustment process.

Likewise, the Union has called for the revision in the sheet roll, bearing in mind the current market price. Employees are finding difficulty to manage daily lives due to increasing price-rise. RSS
