Civil society group to stage protest outside PM's residence in Baluwatar against parliament dissolution

KATHMANDU, Jan 23: A civil society group has announced to stage a demonstration in front of the Prime Minister's Residence in Baluwatar on Monday against the dissolution of parliament.

KATHMANDU, Jan 23: A civil society group has announced to stage a demonstration in front of the Prime Minister's Residence in Baluwatar on Monday against the dissolution of parliament. 


Issuing a press statement on Saturday, the civil society group announced to stage the demonstration to challenge the PM who it claimed had emerged as a symbol of regression and arbitrariness. The agitating civil society group includes poets, writers, artists, musicians and intellectuals, and professionals and civil society leaders.

According to the press statement, the agitating members of the civil society group plan to receive tika of soil from the campaigners of Save Kamalpokhari in Kamalpokhari and walk past Naxal to reach Baluwatar. The group has also announced artistic performances by poets, musicians and other artists during the protest program.
