CM Sharma to take vote of confidence for third time on Friday

SURKHET, April 23: Karnali Chief Minister (CM) Raj Kumar Sharma has prepared to take the vote of confidence in the provincial assembly for a third time. Sharma registered a letter regarding the seeking the vote of confidence in the province assembly on Sunday.

SURKHET, April 23: Karnali Chief Minister (CM) Raj Kumar Sharma has prepared to take the vote of confidence in the provincial assembly for a third time. Sharma registered a letter regarding the seeking the vote of confidence in the province assembly on Sunday.


According to Jivraj Budhathoki, chief secretary of the provincial assembly, CM Sharma has registered the letter seeking a vote of confidence from the provincial assembly meeting to be held at 3PM on Friday.

"Chief Minister Sharma has registered the letter for the purpose of taking the vote of confidence," Budhathoki said. The process will start only 48 hours after the letter of confidence is registered. The chief minister will take the vote of confidence in the meeting to be held on Friday.


Sharma has taken the vote of confidence twice before. He took the vote of confidence for the first time on January 20 and for the second time on March 31. At that time, provincial assembly members from CPN-UML, Nepali Congress, Nepal Samajwadi Party and some independent provincial assembly members had voted for him.
