Commercial Banks providing dividends up to 38 percent to shareholders from profits of last FY

KATHMANDU, Dec 25: Commercial banks have announced providing dividends of up to 38 percent to their shareholders.

Of the total 27 commercial banks, 21 banks have announced to provide dividends in double digit percentages. Nabil Bank is providing the largest proportion in dividends out of its profit earned in 2020/21. Of the total dividends, the bank’s shareholders received 33.60 percent bonus shares and 4.4 percent of cash dividends. 


Similarly, Rastriya Banijya Bank has announced 33 percent dividends and Himalayan Bank is providing 26 percent dividends to their shareholders. Civil Bank, with offering dividends of 5.26 percent, is the least performer in the row.
