DHARAN, Dec 12: With an aim to promote adventure tourism, commercial paragliding service has started in Dharan. Budha Subba Paragliding Nepal Pvt Ltd kicked off the commercial paragliding service from Dharan-24, Ramete Danda on Monday.
Chairman of Association of Sepak Takraw, Sunsari Chapter Birendra Kumar Limbu was the first person to fly through the inaugural flight.
Earlier, Executive Officer of Dharan Sub-metropolitan City, Bishnu Prasad Koirala and President of Sunsari Federation of Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Rajendra Sha formally inaugurated the paragliding service handing over the glider to pilot Desh Bir Jimi.
The company said a discounted rate of Rs 4,999 will be charged till Thursday as an introductory price. Then, Rs 5,500 excluding VAT will be charged per flight, according to the company’s Marketing Director, Ram Rai.
