KATHMANDU, Aug 21: The Education and Health Committee under the federal parliament has constituted a three-member team to study the building construction of Suresh Wagle Memorial Cancer Hospital.
The construction of the building was started at the premises of Maharajgung-based Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital in 2011 aiming to complete within three years. However, the construction of the building has been halted.

The committee comprised of lawmakers Anjana Bishankhe, Ekbal Miya and Sarita Neupane and has been directed to present the report in five days to the committee.
Earlier, the committee had sought clarification from the Ministry of Education, Ministry of Health, Ministry of Urban Development and Tribhuvan University regarding the delay in construction of the building. As the departments and ministries were not clear about the reason, the committee decided to form the team for the detailed study.
The committee held a discussion with Tribhuvan University Registrar Dilliram Upreti, Dean Jagdish Agarwal of the Institute of Medical Sciences Studies (IOM) and officials from the Ministry of Education and Health.
During the meeting, most of the committee members demanded to blacklist the construction company and take action against it.
