Ansari, who operated Chadani Fresh House in Karsiya Bazar, visited the cafe around 11 AM on June 18 to collect a payment of Rs 40,000 for supplying meat. DSP Dahal stated that the incident occurred when Ansari, who returned to the cafe in the afternoon, accidentally struck the transparent white glass door. He explained, "There were no other injuries found on the deceased's body except for a cut on his thigh caused by the broken glass. While receiving treatment, the doctor removed a fragment of the glass door from his thigh."
DSP Dahal informed that Ansari succumbed to his injuries at Birat Nursing Home in Biratnagar at approximately 5:30 pm on the day of the incident. Although a criminal complaint has been registered against three individuals, including the cafe owner Khatiwada, the named suspects have not yet been arrested.
"Should substantial evidence surface linking them or anyone else to the incident, they will be detained for investigation. However, at present, it seems unlikely. We are conducting a discreet inquiry into the matter and will take appropriate action based on any evidence of their involvement," stated DSP Dahal.
