Connecting cultural heritage through colors

KATHMANDU, April 28: Painting exhibition ‘Anirvan’ is on display from Tuesday at Imago Dei Café, Nagpokhari. Artist Niharika Pant’s 21 paintings are featured in the five-day long exhibition. This is her second solo exhibition, which was inaugurated by Maha duo Madan Krishna Shrestha and Hari Bansha Acharya.

KATHMANDU, April 28: Painting exhibition ‘Anirvan’ is on display from Tuesday at Imago Dei Café, Nagpokhari. Artist Niharika Pant’s 21 paintings are featured in the five-day long exhibition. This is her second solo exhibition, which was inaugurated by Maha duo Madan Krishna Shrestha and Hari Bansha Acharya.


She has used acrylic colors on canvas and portrayed motifs that depict cultural heritage of Nepal. She has used motifs such as bells, lotus, Lord Buddha, among others showing her connectivity with her country’s cultural heritage.

The cost of paintings range from Rs 10,000 to Rs 18,000 and 50 percent proceed from the sales will be donated to Nepal Adarsha School, Ganabahal for scholarship. 


Pant has been practicing art for around eight years now. She has just appeared her SEE from Rato Bangala School, Patan. 


In one of her paintings, she has depicted a big bell in golden color at the center of the canvas and in the background she has splashed vibrant hues like red, blue and yellow giving the feel of ringing bell. The exhibition continues till April 28.
