KATHMANDU, Sept 20: Constitution Day 2080 was celebrated with grandeur at the Army Pavilion in Tundikhel, Kathmandu.

KATHMANDU, Sept 20: Constitution Day 2080 was celebrated with grandeur at the Army Pavilion in Tundikhel, Kathmandu. President Ramchandra Paudel graced the event as the chief guest, along with Vice-President Ram Sahay Prasad Yadav, Chief Justice Bishowambhar Shrestha, National Assembly Chairperson Ganesh Prasad Timilsina, acting President Purna Bahadur Khadka, Deputy Prime Minister Narayan Kaji Shrestha, ministers, parliamentarians, constitutional body chiefs, and officials, as well as representatives from diplomatic missions, government employees, and journalists.


The event featured a banner reading 'Constitution Day, 2080 BS', and a Nepal Army helicopter showered flowers while flying around the Ring Road of Kathmandu. Various units of the Nepal Army, Nepal Police, and Armed Police Force conducted march-past accompanied by cultural performances. Colorful balloons and pigeons symbolizing peace were released to mark the occasion.
