NAWALPARASI EAST, Nov 5: Construction of the 132 kV Arunkhola (Dumkibas) Sub-station project has begun. Land acquisition for the project that lies at Binayi Tribeni Rural Municipality-2 in Nawalparasi East has been completed, according to the Project Chief Ranjan Nath Gurung.
Gurung said that distributing compensation for the acquisition of four bigha of land for the project has been over. Similarly, a contractor has been selected, and the process for a contract has begun.
Construction of Amarpur-Dhungesanghu transmission line begins
The project completion target is two years with an assistance of USD 7 million by the Asian Development Bank. Following the construction of a double-circuit substation, local people of Madyabindu Municipality and Binayi Tribeni Rural Municipality will be relieved of low-voltage problems.
The 132kV transmission line has been expanded from Bardaghat to the project site of Hongshi cement industry.
Along with low-voltage problem resolution, a conducive investment climate will be created following the construction of the substation, said Binayi Tribeni Rural Municipality Chairman Ghana Shyam Giri, adding that a significant number of businesspersons showed interest to start their business and industries.
"Along with the country's biggest Hongshi cement industry, other enterprises and industries will also avail reliable power supply from the new project. Conducive investment climate will be created for aspiring businesspersons as well," he said.
