MAHOTTATRI, Jan 21: Construction works of the model earthquake-resistant integrated settlement for a Musahar community in Mahottari district by the Dhurmus-Suntali Foundation are going on in full speed.
The project began on January 9 with the laying of the foundation stone by the senior comedian duo Hari Bansha Acharya and Madan Krishna Shrestha and Coordinator of the Save Historical Janakpur Campaign, Ram Ashish Yadav, amid a grand function.

And about 15 per cent of work has already been completed so far within a short period of its beginning. About 300 workers have been mobilized for the construction project, said foundation coordinator Arjun Prasad Neupane.
According to Neupane, foundation works for the houses have been expedited with local social organizations, volunteers and Nepal police and Armed Police Force supporting the project.
Similarly, settlement users committee chair Manjaya Sada shared that around 100 local Musahar people are contributing voluntary labor to the project.
According to the campaigners, the settlement would be made children and disabled-friendly including a community building, a garden and a temple and open yards with a total of 50 houses.
This is the third integrated settlement constructed by the Foundation following the first and second one in Kavre and Sindhupalchowk respectively. RSS
