MYAGDI, Sept 9: Construction of three motorable bridges along Myagdi section under Beni-Jomsom road has been accelerated, said the project officials.
The projects are expected to facilitate transportation connecting Beni-Josom-Korola having importance of the inter-national trade. Himm Sagarmatha-Dange-Bajraguri JV has been contracted two of the projects, one at Pokharebagar and another at Mahabhir, at Rs 190 million. Their construction has been accelerated, said the project's sub-engineer Tika Regmi. The 11 meters wide bridges will have two lanes. Construction of the 80 meters long bridge at Mahabhir has reached more than halfway, while laying concrete slabs for another 70 meters long Pokharebagar bridge is speeding up, said Umesh Gartaula, a representative of the construction company. Similarly, the construction of the third 40 meters log and 11 meters wide bridge at Raghuganga has completed its preliminary stage, said Jagat Prajapati, engineer for the Beni-Jomsom-Korala road project. The construction contract was awarded to Lika Gajurmukhi JV at over Rs 62 million. The project completion target is until the Nepali month of Chaitra, 2056 B.S.
