BIRATNAGAR, Sept 17: The number of people dying of coronavirus in Biratnagar Metropolitan City has risen to 20 after a man succumbed to the novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19).
The throat swab sample of the 66-year-old man from Biratnagar-6 who breathed his last while undergoing treatment at an isolation ward of the Koshi Hospital on Wednesday night came positive for the viral infection earlier this morning. He was admitted to the hospital at around 11PM after having breathing difficulties.
Biratnagar reports one more coronavirus related death
In-charge of the Koshi Hospital isolation ward, Laxmi Narayan Yadav, confirmed that the throat swab sample of the deceased hadcome positive on Thursday morning.
Earlier, the man was referred to the Koshi Hospital from the local Lifeguard Hospital after he experienced coronavirus-like symptoms.
