PARBAT, Oct 30: A couple of Modi Rural Municipality-4, Kyang has donated seven ropanis of land worth Rs 700,000 to a local school in Parbat district on Sunday. The land has been donated for the construction of school building and playground.
Kiran Pun and Yug Maya Pun donated the land to Bajung Basic School of the same rural municipality. “The school was unable to construct the building and playground due to the financial crisis. But the problem has been solved after getting the land as donation,” stated chairman of the school management committee, Cham Bahadur Pun, adding, “We are very grateful and delighted for their help and support.”

According to the chairman of the management committee, the couple had bought the land last year and handed over the land owner certificate to the school principal Am Bahadur Pun this year amid a function.
“Last year, we had bought the land for the school but due to some reasons we were unable to donate it,” said Kiran with a cheerful smile, adding, “Now, we have donated the land to the school and hope this could make things easier.”
Similarly, the couple has raised a fund of Rs 2,05,000 for scholarships to the marginalized students.
