KATHMANDU, April 21: Eleven more COVID-19 cases have been confirmed on Tuesday, taking the number of total coronavirus infected patients in Nepal to 42.
Samir Adhikari, the assistant spokesperson at the Ministry of Health and Population, said that 11 persons from Udaypur tested positive for coronavirus today evening.
COVID-19 cases jump to 47 in Nepal with 2 new cases today
After testing throat swab samples at BPKIHS, Dharan, samples of the suspected coronavirus patients were dispatched to Teku based National Public Health Laboratory earlier today. The NPHL confirmed the additional 10 cases through the PCR method.
With this, coronavirus cases have reached 24 in Udyapur alone and 42 in the country.
