COVID-19 death toll in Province 1 rises to 41 as 42-year-old woman dies in Biratnagar

BIRATNAGAR, Sept 11: Biratnagar Metropolitan City has recorded yet another death attributed to the novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19).

BIRATNAGAR, Sept 11: Biratnagar Metropolitan City has recorded yet another death attributed to the novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19).


A 40-year-old woman from Biratnagar-11, Milanchowk, died while undergoing treatment at 7:10PM at Koshi Hospital on Thursday evening, according to a doctor at the hospital, Laxmi Narayan Yadav.

The woman had been suffering from high fever for the past six days and she started having breathing difficulties since Wednesday. She also tested positive for the virus.


The woman was admitted to the hospital at 1:15 PM on Thursday after her health deteriorated further. She was shifted to the isolation ward and was undergoing treatment there.


The woman was also suffering from hypertension, hypothyroidism and was obese.


With this, deaths linked to COVID-19 in Biratnagar Metropolitan City has climbed to 15. As of today, Province 1 has witnessed 41 deaths attributed to the novel coronavirus disease. Of them, 32 are males and 12 are females.
