COVID-19 patient runs away from Janakpur hospital

JANAKPURDAM, May 24: A COVID-19 patient who was undergoing treatment at the Janakpur-based COVID-19 hospital fled on Sunday morning.

JANAKPURDAM, May 24: A COVID-19 patient who was undergoing treatment at the Janakpur-based COVID-19 hospital fled on Sunday morning.


He is a 45 years old male of Hirapurva Municipality-3.

According to Ramesh Basnet, a Sub Inspector of Police in Dhanusha, the patient had mental problems and had been locked inside a room of the hospital.


The patient might have run away from the hospital when everyone was asleep, it has been told.


A search team has been looking for him since early morning today.


He had tested positive for COVID-19 on May 13. He was undergoing treatment at the COVID-19 hospital set up at Janakpur Nursing Campus.
