COVID-19 patients in home isolation recovering faster than those staying in hospital isolation centers: MoHP

KATHMANDU, Aug 18: The Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP) on Tuesday claimed that COVID-19 patients staying in home isolation are recovering faster than those staying in the isolation centers of hospitals.

KATHMANDU, Aug 18: The Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP) on Tuesday claimed that COVID-19 patients staying in home isolation are recovering faster than those staying in the isolation centers of hospitals.


Dr Jageshwar Gautam, spokesperson for the Ministry of MoHP, made the claim during the daily virtual media briefing on Tuesday. “It is a proven fact. Various research works conducted in foreign countries have already proved this,” he said.

Dr Gautam also said that the death rate of COVID-19 patients in the home isolation is also fewer than those in hospitals.
