KATHMANDU, March 7: Cricket Players Association of Nepal (CPAN) completed its fourth Annual General Meeting in Kathmandu on Wednesday. The meeting decided to support former cricketer Basudev Thapa with financial aid, apart from making changes in the working committee.
Former Nepal national cricketer, current coach, and match referee Dipendra Chaudhary and injured wicket-keeper batsman Subash Khakurel have resigned from their positions, replaced by recently retired veteran cricketer Shakti Gauchan and current cricketer Jyoti Pandey. Both new additions were made to already established roster of CPAN led by Dr Manish Raj Pandey as president and current captain Paras Khadka as general secretary.

Former cricketer Thapa has been struggling with health conditions in recent times. As a financial support, he was awarded a cash prize of Rs 50,000 by the CPAN. The check was handed over to him on Wednesday.
Khadka presented CPAN's progress report of last year, along with plans for future activities in the pipeline. Likewise, treasurer Prithu Baskota submitted the financial report for the fiscal year.
Former president Pawan Agrawal, head coach Jagat Tamata, umpire Vinay Kumar Jha and advisor Lekh Bahadur Chhetri were present in the meeting.
