KATHMANDU, Aug 20: The CPN (Maoist Center) has constituted a support mechanism for running the government.
A meeting of the party's central office that convened at the private residence of Prime Minister and the party chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal on Saturday formed the mechanism to assist the government with party leader Narayan Kaji Shrestha as its coordinator.
Party leaders Ram Bahadur Thapa, Krishna Bahadur Mahara, Matrika Prasad Yadav, Barshaman Pun, Girirajmani Pokharel, Dev Prasad Gurung, Top Bahadur Rayamajhi, Haribol Gajurel, Pampha Bhusal and Tilak Pariyar are the members of the mechanism (committee). More members would be inducted as and when needed, it is stated.

The mechanism will give the required suggestions and advice on making the government's works and performance effective.
According to Haribol Gajurel, a member of the committee, the committee will suggest the government on the immediate works that the government needs to undertake.
Similarly, the meeting has also reconstituted the party organization department. The department under party leader Thapa's leadership has 13 members. The party in-charges from the seven provinces are also the members of the department. Besides, leaders Rayamajhi, Pokharel, Mani Thapa and the members of the party's international department too would be the members of the department, party spokesperson Pampha Bhusal said.
The meeting also discussed the government's works and performance and expansion of the cabinet. RSS
