KATHMANDU, Sep 3: The leaders of the CPN-UML have embarked on an official visit to China. Gagan Bista, Secretary of the UML Publicity Department, announced that a high-level delegation from the party, led by General Secretary Shankar Pokharel, went to China on Saturday evening.
The invitation extended by the Chinese Communist Party has been accepted by 22 prominent members of the party, all part of the delegation led by General Secretary Pokharel. Among the distinguished delegates are Dr. Rajan Bhattarai, a Standing Committee Member and Head of the Foreign Affairs Department, Rajendra Gautam, another Standing Committee Member and Head of the Publicity Department, as well as Dukabhadra Hamal, Chairperson of the All Nepal Women's Association, along with other central-level leaders.

Over the course of 13 days, the visiting team will tour three key cities in the Republic of China: Chongqing, Beijing, and Qinghai. The agenda for this visit includes discussions on various facets of bilateral relations between Nepal and China, as well as exploring the dimensions of the party-to-party relations between UML and the Chinese Communist Party (CPC), as detailed by UML Publicity Department Secretary Bista. Moreover, the visit is expected to include meetings with high-ranking leaders of the Chinese Communist Party, further strengthening the ties between the two nations.
