KATHMANDU, Nov 1: Thed CPN-UML has published its election manifesto.
UML Chairman KP Sharma Oli published the election manifesto of the party for the upcoming House of Representatives and provincial assembly elections through digital technology at the Yak and Yeti Hotel in Kathmandu on Tuesday afternoon.
In the manifesto, the party's national resolution of 'Prosperous Nepal: Happy Nepalis' has been continued. The manifesto, which has about 20,000 words, emphasizes on building the national economy for the prosperity of the country. In the manifesto, it is said that an attempt has been made to explain why the people should vote for the sun symbol.

The party has announced that the total domestic product of the country will reach Rs 100 billion in the next five years. It is mentioned in the manifesto that the number of foreign tourists visiting Nepal will reach 2.5 million in five years and the per capita income of Nepal will reach USD 2,400 i.e. Rs 300,000.
In the election manifesto issued by UML on Tuesday for the House of Representatives (HoR) and Provincial Assembly elections- 2022, the party has addressed the art and film sector. It is mentioned that UML will promote, develop and expand Nepali films and build film cities in all seven provinces.
In its election manifesto, the UML has also mentioned to operate a ship with the Nepali national flag. UML has announced that it will use the sea ports of the neighboring countries to operate the ships carrying the Nepali national flag. The UML has also announced that it will conduct water transport from the Ganga to the Calcutta harbor through Nepal's major rivers.
Similarly, CPN-UML has announced to give free electricity up to 50 units. It is mentioned that 50 units of electricity will be provided free of cost in the rainy season and 30 units in winter. The party has also announced that it will provide drinking water to all families within the next two years and will provide free water up to 10,000 liters per month to all families.
With the publication of the manifesto, 'Live Debate with Oli' has also started. Nepali Congress, CPN (Maoist Center) and CPN (Unified Socialists) which are part of the ruling coalition have already published their election manifestos with the main slogan of protecting the constitution.
