Crook held for swindling Korean job aspirants

KOHALPUR, May 18: Banke police has arrested a man on the charge of defrauding people of millions of rupees promising them with jobs in South Korea.


The arrested is 40-year-old Dhanapati Mahato of Mithila Municipality, Dhanusha who was arrested for taking Rs  5.1 million from various Korean job aspirants.

Mahato who allegedly took Rs 4,000 to 1.2 million rupees from various individuals has been sent to Metropolitan Police Crime Division, Kathmandu   for further investigation.


Six people including Phurba Sherpa of Tingla-9, Solukhumbu had lodged a case at the police station complaining that Mahato had fleeced them of Rs 5.1 million luring them with Korean jobs.
