Curfew imposed once again in Sarlahi’s Barahathawa

JANAKPURDHAM,  Jan 7: After the death of Jaishankar Sah of Barahathwa-6, Sarlahi, in police firing, the local administration has again imposed curfew to control the situation.


The District Administration Office, Sarlahi, has again extended the curfew from Sunday 12:45 PM to Monday 8 AM.

Sarlahi CDO Komal Dhamala said that the curfew period has been extended in view of the disruption of public peace and security.


Since Friday, Sah's body has been kept on the road and the protest continues. CDO Dhamala said that the curfew has continued from 5:30 PM on Friday.


According to Dhamal, a prohibition order has been issued to prevent mass gathering and organizing protests in the location that encloses Barahathawa town area Soti-Chorniya bridge in the north, canal side of the road connecting Hajariya in the west, Hanuman Temple in the south and Bramhasthan to Sitapur in the east, according to section 6 (2) and (3) of the Local Administration Act, 2028.
