CHITWAN, August 24: Chairman of CPN (Maoist Center) Pushpa Kamal Dahal has arrived in Chitwan for the first time after the announcement of the upcoming House of Representatives and the Provincial Assembly elections.
Dahal arrived in Chitwan on Wednesday morning to lay the foundation stones of road and bridge construction projects in various parts of his constituency in Chitwan-3.

Dahal arrived in Chitwan along with Minister for Forest and Environment Conservation Pradeep Yadav, Minister for Physical Infrastructure and Transport Management Mohammed Ishtiaq Rai.
On August 4, the government announced that the elections for the House of Representatives and the Provincial Assembly will be held on November 20. This is the first visit of Dahal to his home district with poll-focused programs.
Chairman Dahal is scheduled to participate in five different programs today. According to his Personal Secretariat, Dahal is scheduled to lay the foundation stone of road projects in Madi's Bankatta and Baruwa, inaugurate Rautnekhola bridge, lay foundation stone of Tamata river embankment project and attend programs organized to give orientations to party workers. All these programs are being held in Madi Municipality of Chitwan Constituency Number 3.
