KATHMANDU, Feb 24: The Dahal-Nepal faction of the Nepal Communist Party (NCP) is scheduled to stage a victory rally in the capital on Wednesday afternoon following the Supreme Court’s decision to reinstate the House of Representatives (HoR) that was dissolved by Prime Minister K P Oli some two months ago.
The NCP faction is scheduled to stage a victory rally at Shanti Batika in Kathmandu this afternoon, according to Bishnu Rijal, a central committee member of Dahal-Nepal faction. The party is also staging similar rallies in all 77 districts this morning to celebrate their victory after the apex court’s verdict to reinstate the parliament.

The apex court on Tuesday evening passed the verdict against the HoR dissolution and ordered the government to summon a house session within the next 13 days.
The Dahal-Nepal faction has been staging a series of demonstrations and protests against the HoR dissolution since the President Bidya Devi Bhandari dissolved the lower house of parliament on December 20, 2020 at the recommendation of the Prime Minister Oli.
