KATHMANDU, Oct 9: With the onset of Dashain, the greatest festival of Hindus in Nepal, people have thronged the markets to purchase goats for the celebration. With the government-owned Food Management and Trading Company (FMTC) starting the sale of goats from Saturday, people flocked it's depot in Thapathali early morning.
The people selected their desired goats, weighed them, paid and took them home. The subsidized rate provided by the government entity has attracted people, increasing the temperature of festivity in the Himalayan nation.
