BHAKTAPUR, Oct 16: The Dashain for this year came to a ritualistic conclusion in the district after the blood of a buffalo killed as part of an animal sacrifice at Brahmayani temple was offered to Hindu Goddess Nava Durga's consorts.

The remaining blood of the buffalo known as 'Kha Meya' in local dialect was collected in a terracotta jar. The ritualistic conclusion was held this morning as this year the country witnessed two Purnima (full moon) days.

Local residents thronged the Nava Durga temple from early in the morning today for paying homage and worship rituals. RSS
