KATHMANDU, Oct 12: People continued to visit their relatives and family members, receiving Dashain tika, jamara and blessings today also, a day after the 10-day-long greatest festival of the Nepali Hindus concluded.
This tradition continues until the full moon day in the month of Kattik for family members who have to travel far to visit their relatives and elders although it is on the 10th day of the Bada Dashain festival that the time-honoured practice of receiving tika, jamara and blessings is held.
8:45 am on Oct 11, the most auspicious time for Dashain Tika
In this connection, people could be seen heading to the homes of their families to and from Kathmandu Valley today to receive tika and jamara.
Comparatively more traffic could be seen in the capital's roads today as those who left for their homes for Dashain gradually start to return to Kathmandu Valley. RSS
