District Health Chief, Manish Pandey, argued he was making effort to supply the medicines and assured of its supply at the earliest to Jaleshwor hospital and other health posts.

Meanwhile, the patients visiting the hospital have complained that the shortage has gone on for months and accused the hospital and public health officials of remaining apathetic towards the patients' plight.

As per existing provision, the patients are entitled to receive 70 different kinds of medicines cost-free at the district hospital, but they have only been getting 15 to 20 types for free. Many are forced to return empty handed after visiting the hospital. RSS
