It is said that the CPN (Maoist Center), CPN (Unified Socialist), Janata Samajwadi Party (JSP), and Communist Party of Nepal led by Netra Bikram Chand will be joining the Socialist Front. Discussions are also underway to include Baburam Bhattarai's Nepal Samajwadi Party in this alliance.

Jagannath Khatiwada, a leader of the CPN (Unified Socialist), said that the front will not be announced today because the parties concerned are yet to complete their internal preparations. He said, "It seems like it will take some more days as internal meetings and preparations of all parties are not yet completed."

An informal meeting of the Central Secretariat of the CPN (Unified Socialist) was held on Friday to discuss the formation of the Socialist Front. Jhala Nath Khanal, a leader of the party and General Secretary Ghanashyam Bhusal were absent from the meeting. Therefore, there was no formal decision. But leader Khatiwada stated that a unanimous decision has been reached to actively engage in the Socialist Front and take immediate steps for its announcement.
