BUTWAL, Feb 1: Defence Minister Bal Krishna Khand has stressed on the need of cooperation from all quarters for the country's development.
Laying the foundation stone of the Area Administration Office building in Butwal today, he said the development of the Lumbini area was moving ahead through the collaboration of all sides.

He said there were many projects for the development of Rupandehi district in the present situation and still more development projects were needed.
Minister Khand said that Lumbini should be made the centre of Province No 5 and their emphasis was also in line with the people's aspirations that the Tarai and the hilly districts of the Province should not be separated.
"Interactions and link with the hilly districts of the Province are necessary even for ensuring Lumbini's access to natural resources," he explained.
Minister Khand said that no shortage of funds would be allowed in the construction of the administration building and also directed the bodies concerned to complete the building within the stipulated time by maintaining the standard.
The building is being constructed at a cost of Rs 48.8 million. In the first phase, a two-storied office building would be constructed while the staff quarters would be constructed in the second phase, it is stated. RSS
