KATHMANDU, April 12: The official trailer of short film ‘Desh Khojdai Jada’ was unveiled amid a program in Kathmandu on Thursday.
The film – running 2 minutes 6 seconds -- is based Bhutanese refugees who have been residing in Nepal for more than two decades.

The short film, which depicts the revolution, feelings and woeful plights of the Bhutanese refugees, is directed by Prakash Angdembey. It is Angdembey’s debut project, for which he spent 5years in research and surveys. Screen play is done by Upendra Subba.
“This is the actual story of Butanese Refugees who are compelled to live here for more than two decades” said Angdembey. “We have tried to depict the internal and external affairs of the refugees’ familial and clandestine living in a sensitive manner.”
Avaash has composed the music for the film, while Shrawan Mukarung is the lyricist and Swaroopraj Acharya the singer.
Cinematography has been performed by Sanjay Lama, whereas the short film has been edited by Manoranjan Shrestha. It is set to release on May 26.
