Devotees throng Pashupatinath for prayers since early morning today

KATHMANDU, April 14: A special arrangement has been made at the Pashupatinath Temple for devotees turning up at the holy place for prayers on the occasion of New Year, 2079 BS.

KATHMANDU, April 14: A special arrangement has been made at the Pashupatinath Temple for devotees turning up at the holy place for prayers on the occasion of New Year, 2079 BS. 


The special arrangement has been made in view of a big crowd of worshippers at Pashupatinath Temple on the New Year day. 


Pashupati Area Development Trust's Culture Conservation Division Chief Gaurishanker Parajuli told RSS that all four doors of Pashupatinath Temple have been kept open since 4.00AM on the occasion of New Year.

He shared that the inflow of worshippers has increased at the temple since early this morning. Arrangements have been made for the worshippers to offer prayers and pooja from the northern, western and southern main gates of the temple today. 


Parajuli further shared that a security arrangement has been made in coordination with the Metropolitan Police Circle Gaushala. Arrangement has also been made for those who want to offer special pooja on the occasion, he added. 


Tens of thousands of devotees crowd up at Pashupati Temple on the occasion of New Year every year.
