Dhangadi Blues humiliated by Chitwan Rhinos

POKHARA, Oct 31: Dhangadi Blues suffered a humiliating 126 runs defeat in the Pokhara Premier League (PPL-2018) at Pokhara Rangshaala, Pokhara on Wednesday.

POKHARA, Oct 31: Dhangadi Blues suffered a humiliating 126 runs defeat in the Pokhara Premier League (PPL-2018) at Pokhara Rangshaala, Pokhara on Wednesday. Chitwan Rhinos, who were invited to bat first after losing toss collected 193 runs with a loss of 5 wickets playing allotted 20 overs.


The Rhinos took timely wickets to restrict Dhangadi Blues to just 67 runs in 16.2 overs. By then, the Rhinos had wrapped their opponents.

PD Trego and Yogendra Singh Karki scored 27 and 17 runs respectively whereas openers duo Dilip Nath and DW Lawrence both were out for zero. Also rest of the batsmen could not make a double digit score for Dhangadi Blues while chasing the target.


Sunny Patel shined in the match by taking highest 4 wickets for Chitwan Rhinos. Likewise Chitwan Rhinos bowlers Buwan Karki and SK Patel took 2 wickets each whereas Karan KC and Shakti Gauchan took one wicket each.


H Shah, AK Sah, SK Patel and Skipper Paras Khadka scored 53, 37, 24 and 19 runs respectively. Also, Karan KC and Sunny Patel contributed not out 11 and 26 for Chitwan Royals.


DS Airee, DW Lawrence, Yogendra Singh Karki and Manjit Shrestha took one wicket each for Dhangadi Blues.
