If you love spicy and tangy food, then Indian food might be your first priority. And to give the taste of India’s famous Mughlai cuisines, Soaltee Crowne Plaza, Soltee Mode is hosting ‘Mughlai Food Festival’ at its restaurant ‘Kakori’.
The food festival kicked off on August 13 and will continue till August 31. Mughlai culinary was developed during the regime of Mughals which is believed to be prepared in the royal kitchen.
In the food festival, one can find vibrant and colorful platter of Mughlai dishes that show the ranges of ingredients, spices, and the unique culinary art of Mughlai cuisines. The fest has been led by Mughlai culinary expert: Chef Hardev S Saini.
Dine like nawabs
Besides food, you can also enjoy live ghazal performance during the food festival. “Since the hotel is targeting Nepali clients; ingredients, spices and herbs used in cuisines will be customized as per the customer’s preference,” informed Pratiksha Basnet, marketing executive at Soaltee Crowne Plaza.
Menu for the festival covers wide range of vegetarian and non-vegetarian items that includes kebab, paratha, biryani, etc. The restaurant is looking forward to change its menu according to the client’s review in this festival. Moreover, some of the main course dishes served in the festival are as follows:
Baqarkhani Paratha:
Baqarkhani paratha also known as bakar khani roti; is Lucknowi bread. It is thick spiced flat bread, and tastes like a biscuit. The dish is prepared by baking flat dough prepared by the mixture of flour, ghee, dry fruits, salt and sugar, water, and Indian spices. Baqarkhani paratha is filled with flavor unlike other normal breads.
Kofta Biryani:
A unique flavored biryani, Kofta Biryani is a judicious addition of spices, gently cooked, and the addition of dry fruits makes it delicious. One of the major dishes of Mughlai Cuisine, Kofta Biryani is served in a bowl garnished with herbs which makes it look tempting.
Dahl Gomati:
Dahl Gomati is delicious and is different from normal dahl. Black lentil is the main ingredient for this dish. Meanwhile, ingredients like onion, tomatoes, ghee and spices are used to add flavor in it.
