On Saturday morning, some disgruntled leaders had an informal discussion at the private residence of a leader in Baluwatar. A leader of the party said that discussions were held to put more pressure on the party’s President Upendra Yadav to implement their agenda. “We will put more pressure on Yadav and if he does not comply, then it was discussed that the party would split,” a source said.
MP Amrita Agrahari, a member of the party's executive committee, said that the party will not split but “some wrong people” will leave the party. "We will not allow the party that was born with so much suffering to split, but some wrong people will leave the party," Agrahari said. “We will first ask them to correct themselves and if not they will leave the party.” Agrahari did not want to disclose who she was referring to as the “wrong” people.
