DNA test refutes Dilli Bista's involvement in  Nirmala's murder mystery

KANCHANPUR, Sept 30:  Police have said that DNA tests of the then SP of Kanchanpur, Dilli Bista, his son Kiran and another youth, Ayush Bista didn't match the samples found in Nirmala's body following her rape and murder two months ago, according to DSP Krishna Ojha.

KANCHANPUR, Sept 30:  Police have said that DNA tests of the then SP of Kanchanpur, Dilli Bista, his son Kiran and another youth, Ayush Bista didn't match the samples found in Nirmala's body following her rape and murder two months ago, according to DSP Krishna Ojha.


Dilli Bista, the then chief of Kanchanpur District Police was kept under scrutiny after he tried to destroy proofs of Nirmala's murder. "The DNA report is negative."

Two months after the murder, eight investigation committees have been formed. Yet, none have been able to come up with concrete facts and proofs. Ojha said that they had been investigating from various angles. "However, we've not been able to find hard evidence."
