BIRATNAGAR, April 8: Nepali Congress (NC) leader Dr Shekhar Koirala has urged the leaders and cadres to forget the bitterness of the party’s General Convention and move ahead united.
Addressing a public meeting in Biratnagar on Thursday, Dr Koirala urged all to be united, saying that no one can be defeated in the election if the NC is united.
Kathmandu mayor Shakya fails to deliver on his promises
"I urge everyone to unite, forgetting the bitterness of the recent General Convention," he said. "If the Congress is united, no one can defeat us in the election."
He urged everyone to include in the manifesto only those works that can be done in the next five years and not to make unimplementable promises. "Put in the manifesto only what you can do in five years," Koirala said. "Do not confuse the people by making a manifesto of the past."
He requested all to control unnecessary expenses. "Let's not waste money," he said. "Let's invest in education and health instead."
He said that since communists share the dream of development but do not work, not everyone will always believe that communists share the dream.
